Children's Village Nursing Supervisor

Responsible for planning, promoting, organizing, directing and evaluating comprehensive nursing services in the Medical Unit within the Children’s Village Facility. Assigns, directs, and promotes development of a staff of nurses and other support staff as assigned. Develops specific activities to meet agency program objectives, making evaluations of the current service and health needs of Children’s Village residents and submitting recommendations to administration concerning future health programs and personnel needs. Supervises nurses and other support staff as assigned in providing professional nursing care to Children’s Village residents. Provides technical guidance, support and evaluation in the instruction and implementation of such programs as baseline health appraisal intakes, medical triage, medical referrals to outside health providers, minor first aid treatment, assistance in doctor call, medication and immunization administration and health maintenance activities to address secondary and tertiary chronic disease conditions in Children’s Village residents. Represents the agency and Medical Unit to contract medical services administrative personnel, governmental units and community service agencies. Performs nursing duties in the absence of nursing personnel and performs related duties as assigned. Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
