The Washtenaw County Health Department is looking for an experienced epidemiologist to lead a skilled and dynamic team of local public health experts. Our epidemiology team is the brains behind our local data for everything from COVID to Lyme disease. This team makes sense of health and communicable disease data to identify trends that inform public health initiatives across Washtenaw County. The epidemiology manager provides expert data consultation across the Health Department and helps lead response to outbreaks and emerging diseases. This position is part of the health department leadership, supervises the epidemiology team and oversees the data analyses and reporting for communicable and chronic disease, overdoses, reproductive health, child health, injuries, and more. This is an in-person position. The successful candidate will have an MPH in epidemiology or an equivalent graduate degree; three to five years of experience working in epidemiology, with a focus in communicable disease preferred. Prior supervisory experience is desirable.
