This live training will provide an overview of Health in All Policies (HiAP) and walk participants through case studies from a city health department. Participants will learn strategies for implementing HiAP and incorporating equity into the discussion as a necessary component of HiAP work. This 90-minute discussion-based session will include a mix of didactic presentation, case study presentations, and interactive activities to engage participants in the discussion.

Audience

Public health practitioners working in governmental public health, in particular, those who are involved in or have an interest in policy development

Learning Objectives

  • List the key elements of Health in All Policies (HiAP)

  • Identify one opportunity to center equity in HiAP implementation

  • Recognize one entry point for you to implement HiAP into your work

  • Discuss two strategies for implementing HiAP
