Free to attend. No CE or certificate available.
This series will provide an opportunity for mid-level governmental public health managers and leaders to build a network of peers and reflect on skills needed to support themselves, their teams, and their partners in navigating leadership transitions. There will be a communication and storytelling focus (Public Narrative: Self, Us, and Now framework), as well as an emphasis on trauma-informed leadership, in order to equip practitioners to effectively lead through change and urgent challenges. Sessions will include a mix of presentations, small-group breakouts, and large-group discussion. The series consists of three 90-minute live sessions, along with asynchronous pre- and post- work. Anticipated contact hours: 5.5 (subject to change).
Note: This is a recurring series that we offer in the spring and fall every year. Please only enroll if you have not taken this course before. We plan to limit the size of the group in order to foster active participation in this discussion-based program. Participation is first-come, first-served and limited to 100 registrants who can attend all 3 sessions. We encourage mid-level public health managers and leaders working in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin to enroll.
