9am-3pm
This full-day session examines the essentials of modern communication – how traditional media and social media work, how to work with reporters and get the most from news opportunities, what to do if you find yourself in an interview, and how to effectively tell your story to any audience. Participants will pick their own scenario and work through how to develop concise messaging, and deliver that messaging in an interview on-camera. The 101 training is comprehensive in scope, and popular with everyone from new employees to seasoned public health and food/agriculture pros looking to tune-up their communications approach and skills. Please register by Monday, April 4th.
