On January 24th at 12:00 PM EST the Pandemic Center will host a webinar titled Meeting the Challenge of Public Health: What’s Ahead for Congress and the Administration. As a new Presidential Administration and Congress assume office in the United States, several infectious disease threats loom. Amid uncertainty in funding and policy, pandemic related programs and legislation exist that will have an impact on the nation’s resilience to these threats.
Pandemic Center Director and Professor of Epidemiology Jennifer Nuzzo, DrPH, will convene a panel of experts to discuss these challenges, what gains might be possible, and the state of play for existing pandemic legislation. The panel will include: Dara Lieberman, MPP, Director of Government Relations at Trust for America's Health Jared Perkins, MPA, Director of Health Policy Strategy at the Center for Advancing Health Policy through Research (CAHPR) at Brown University's School of Public Health This webinar is part of the Pandemics & Society series, which focuses on current pandemic threats and response systems as well as how to build preparedness for the future.
