Civic participation in political or electoral processes through voting or organizing can influence policies that create opportunities for health, including safe spaces to live and work and funding for public health initiatives. Storytelling holds the power to deepen understanding and inspire action. Join us on this National Voter Registration Day to learn the role storytelling plays in promoting greater participation.
We’ll hear about Thrive Through Civic Health: We Will Vote, a non-partisan initiative designed to improve health by strengthening civic and voter participation across the health sector. Gnora Mahs, partnership director for Healthy Democracy Healthy People, will describe the initiative’s storytelling campaign, which promotes personal storytelling to encourage civic and voter participation. Anicia Santos will share why she joined the campaign and her experience contributing as a contributor.
Mark your calendars: Immediately following the webinar at 3 p.m. CT/4 p.m. ET, County Health Rankings & Roadmaps will host a one-hour discussion. Join us in an engaging dialogue with peers across the country and share your experiences working toward equity.
