MCMCH Policy Director Ta'Sheena Williams will present an introduction to the Council's Birth Equity Education Project (BEEP) and research on Black birthing experiences in Michigan; Huda Altamimi and Shanayl Bennett-Re, two Patient Family Partners trained by MoMMAs Voices, will share their roles in improving maternal health outcomes; and Cassy Jones-McBryde, the founder of The Michigan Chamber for Reproductive Justice, will highlight the creation of the Michigan Momnibus legislation and community-led advocacy.
