Job Responsibilities
The KCHD Environmental Health Division is in search of a Supervising Sanitarian to work in the public swimming pool, campground, body art, and other environmental health programs. The successful candidate will plan, maintain, and evaluate programs, provide technical support, mentor staff, and aid in the enforcement of regulations and applicable state laws.
Will train, supervise, and instruct staff in both technical and administrative duties.
Will create and submit reports to local and state agencies.
Will review, make recommended changes to and develop programs, procedures and materials based on changes in technology, and ensure consistent programmatic enforcement. Will enhance public awareness and cooperation by providing presentations and seminars regarding regulatory requirements and environmental health programs.
